We're glad you're considering tutoring through our service and hope to have the chance to develop a productive business partnership with you. Below you'll find the basic information about how things work as a WyzAnt tutor. More detailed information is available on the subsequent pages. WyzAnt is a means by which you can generate tutoring clients for yourself. It is not a job with set hours. It can take some time to get the ball rolling, but once you do, you may easily find yourself with more work than you need.

There are two ways in which you get customers. 1) Students searching for a tutor on the web find your WyzAnt.com profile and send you an email. (WyzAnt is search-optimized and does primarily web-based marketing, so this happens a lot.) 2) Students contact us and we in turn notify you of an available job. In both cases, you're notified of new opportunities via email.

As a WyzAnt tutor, you choose your own hourly rate, and we pay you a percentage of this. (We'll offer you some guidelines to help you choose a good hourly rate later in the signup process.) Initially, you'll receive 60% of hour hourly rate. As you continue tutoring for us, we'll reward you by increasing your take-home percentage. If you stick with it, you'll ultimately take home 80% of your posted rate.
